God is Perfect
“There is only one secure foundation: a genuine, deep relationship with Jesus Christ, which will carry you through any and all turmoil. No matter what storms are raging all around, you’ll stand firm if you stand on His love.” – Charley Stanley
Scripture Reading: Psalm 19:7-14, Psalm 145:17, Proverbs 30:5, Isaiah 55:8-9
I am a perfectionist. I have been since childhood. I know I caused my mom grief many nights before posters were due or projects were to be turned in because “It’s not perfect yet!” Throughout high school and college, my perfectionism would present as an immaculately organized and detailed planner. I knew exactly when and where everything was going to happen, and each event most likely had an adorable corresponding sticker – I mean, what can make a dentist appointment more bearable than a cute little tooth sticker?
However, after I graduated college, the inherent structure that school provided for my life fell away. I was left with blank pages in my planner and decisions far too great to be able to washi tape away. I was anxious, stressed, and always second-guessing my decisions. My perfectionism was failing me.
I need God’s perfect. Not my imperfect.
My imperfect perfectionism will always fail me and fall short. In our verses, we are told that God is perfect, trustworthy, righteous, pure, and so much more. Who better to hand our lives – and our planners – over to than the one who created us? The one who is Perfect and knows exactly where we need to be? We don’t have to worry and stress over our next steps when we hand them over to the God who so deeply and perfectly loves us.
In His Love,

I so agree… loved what u shared today !! I NEEDED to see that !!
So thankful I don’t have to rely on my imprefection, what a relief it is to know God is always on time and so faithful to us when sometimes we are not so faithful to him.
That is the truth! He is such a gracious God!
